I had a dream
To be an artist who planted seeds
Put my faith in all that I would succeed
Wanting nothing more than to touch the world
With messages of light
I worked day until night
Many fell in love
Many were intrigued
With what I freely shared
Only to find when I was in need
Many turned away and left me on the street
He called upon me to walk away from my old life
And be reborn into His true Light
Clouds got in the way and I became blind
The journey had me torn between two worlds
I held on hoping that someone would open a door
Then one day I decided to just let it all go
Within those moments I was not able to see
What was ahead of me
Letting go of self
I had to put my faith in the Lord
That he would show me the rest of the way
He took me places I had never been before
He opened my eyes
He opened the door
He showed me that I had not failed
I did succeed
It may not had been what I first sought
But he knew what was good for me
Sand fell through the hour glass of time
He continued to plant seeds within my open mind
Then I finally awakened
I experienced true enlightenment
By surrendering my life to Jesus His Son
Wanting to share His love with the world
And show others what I had learned
They did not want to accept the new me
After they discovered God came to me
Gracefully I walked away
I felt so alone
Then I found that He was standing there all along
Ready to embrace me from the fall
And to remind me that someday soon he is going to take me home

Then I found that He was standing there all along …
Yes!! So true. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful poem. He has truly blessed you with this gift.
Seems like you too have paid the price for following Jesus – I salute you, my fellow disciple
Alec,
It was difficult but as I grow closer and deeper in love with Jesus it becomes more and more clear.
Blessings to you
Kimberly
